In case you’re unsure whether your key fob is within range, try standing close to your car and pressing the remote start button. If you’re too far away, the signal will not be strong enough to reach your car. The key fob needs to be within proximity to the vehicle for the signal to reach it. If your key fob is not with you or if it’s out of range, you will not be able to remote start your car. ![]() This is the first and most important step. If your Buick Encore has the traditional key ignition, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “On” position to start the car.
